Eager to eliminate mobile tech leakers from their work, OnePlus is once again showcasing its signature moves by disclosing numerous intriguing details about the upcoming mid-range handset, the Nord CE 4 Lite 5G, before its official unveiling.

The upcoming sequel to last year’s Nord CE 3 Lite 5G, aptly named and yet annoyingly so, is scheduled for its official launch on June 24. However, before that date, OnePlus is keen on sharing some information with the world. Firstly, the presumably budget-friendly device will be available in a stylish new “Mega Blue” color and will prioritize providing all-day entertainment.
The big battery, super-bright screen, and blazing-fast charging make for an impressive combination.
This can only be accomplished with a similarly “mega” battery, and surprisingly, the OnePlus President and Chief Operating Officer, Kinder Liu, revealed some key specifications in an exclusive interview with Tom’s Guide. The Nord CE 3 Lite already has a large 5,000mAh battery, but the upcoming Nord CE 4 Lite will feature a slightly larger 5,110mAh battery to address users’ concerns about battery life. Additionally, the charging capabilities will be improved from 67W to 80W, and reverse charging at 5W will be added. While this may not be a groundbreaking feature, it could be useful in situations where a power outlet is not available. The Nord CE 4 Lite 5G will also have a 120Hz refresh rate OLED display with a maximum brightness of 2,100 nits, a significant increase from the 680 nits of the Nord CE 3 Lite 5G.
The mark set by the OnePlus Nord CE 4 is a high-end benchmark that only a few of today’s top-budget 5G phones can match. This has us eagerly anticipating the release of the OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite to learn its price and availability.
However, there is more.
Finally, on today’s list of announced specs and features for the Nord CE 4 Lite, we have a new 50MP Sony Lytia 600 sensor for the primary rear-facing camera with an “aspherical lens” that offers advantages in controlling aberrations and distortions. Compared to a “normal” lens, this lens also provides a wider field of view. The Nord CE 3 Lite, on the other hand, has a 108MP main camera that may sound better but is likely not as effective in everyday use and typical photography situations. While most details about the OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite 5G are still unknown, it is expected to be priced at under €300 for a base model with 128GB storage and 8GB RAM in Europe. Although the Nord CE 4 Lite may not be released in the US under that name, its design and features could serve as a basis for a successor to the popular Nord N30.
The upcoming OnePlus Nord N40 5G mid-range smartphone is expected to have a starting price of approximately $300 in the US. If it also includes a large battery, fast charging capabilities, and a bright screen, it could offer exceptional value for the price.
