It is expected that Nubia will release its inaugural Red Magic 10 series phone in the upcoming fall. Rumors suggest that this will be the company’s initial smartphone to utilize Qualcomm’s forthcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor. However, before this launch, the Chinese handset manufacturer has another unexpected announcement for its followers.

ZTE’s sub-brand revealed this weekend that the Red Magic 9S Pro, which is believed to be the final phone in the Red Magic 9 series, will be officially launched on July 3. This phone follows previous models in the series, such as the Red Magic 9 Pro and 9 Pro+.

Similar to its predecessors, the Red Magic 9S Pro will first launch in China before likely expanding to other countries. Nubia is aiming to incorporate various AI-related functionalities into its gaming lineup with the upcoming 9S Pro.

With that being said, we anticipate minimal changes in hardware for the Nubia 9S Pro. If Nubia continues the same approach as with the Red Magic 8S Pro, the 9S Pro is likely to feature the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor found in the 9 Pro and 9+ Pro.

In addition, the phone is likely to feature the same impressive 6.8-inch AMOLED FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

If Nubia also maintains the same camera setup, the Red Magic 9S Pro will have a triple camera system (50MP + 50MP + 2MP) and a 16-megapixel front camera as well.

The only discrepancy lies in the battery size. The Red Magic 9 Pro has a 6,500 mAh battery, whereas the Red Magic 9 Pro+ has a smaller 5,500 mAh battery. This suggests that the Red Magic 9S Pro may have either of these options.

However, more information on this topic will be available next week when Nubia is expected to make an announcement, or possibly even sooner due to information from a Chinese tipster.
