TCL is continuing to release new tablets that utilize its unique e-ink technology. The latest model, the NxtPaper 14 tablet, was recently introduced at IFA 2024 and will soon be available for purchase in Africa, Asia Pacific, Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East at a price of €400.

True to its name, the NxtPaper 14 features a spacious 14.3-inch NxtPaper 3.0 display, which includes blue light filtering (up to 61%), a resolution of 2400 x 1600 pixels, a 60Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of up to 400 nits. Unfortunately, the tablet is powered by a rather unimpressive MediaTek Helio G99 chipset, accompanied by 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It does not come with a microSD card slot or support for SIM cards.

An 8-megapixel main camera with autofocus is located at the center of a fairly large circular camera module. Interestingly, the tablet includes two front-facing cameras instead of just one: a 13MP and a 5MP.

On a positive note, the NxtPaper 14 is equipped with a substantial 10,000 mAh battery that supports 33W wired charging. TCL claims that it will take approximately 2 hours to fully charge the battery, but a single charge is expected to last for several days, thanks to the advantages of NxtPaper 3.0 technology. Other notable features of the NxtPaper 14 include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C (2.0), quad speakers, face unlock, and stylus compatibility.

However, the tablet does not come with a fingerprint sensor or a 3.5mm audio jack, but it does run on Android 14 straight out of the box.

In related news, TCL has announced that the Tab 11 Gen 2, a more affordable tablet introduced back in March at the Mobile World Congress (MWC), is now commercially available. The Tab 11 Gen 2 can be purchased in the Asia Pacific, Europe, and Latin America for €200.

The tablet is equipped with a MediaTek Helio G80 processor, 6GB of RAM, and 256GB of internal storage (expandable up to 1TB). It features an 11-inch FHD NxtVision LCD display with a 60Hz refresh rate, an 8-megapixel main camera, a secondary 5-megapixel front-facing camera, and a substantial 8,000 mAh battery.
