There were numerous leaks yesterday regarding Pixel devices, including the upcoming Pixel Buds Pro 2, which also had new renders revealed. Despite the Pixel 9 series leaks stealing the spotlight, we now have information on potential price increases for the Pixel Buds Pro 2, with expected prices of $229 in the US, €249 in the EU, and £219 in the UK. This represents a slight rise from the original Pixel Buds Pro prices, which were $199, €229, and £199, respectively, when they were released in 2022.
Apple cuts iPhone prices in this market for the first time
Rumors suggest that the Pixel Buds Pro 2 will be available in four colors: Hazel, Porcelain, Wintergreen, and Peony. Google is likely to officially announce these earbuds at its upcoming hardware event on August 13th. The event will also include the launch of Google’s newest smartphones – the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold. Despite the increase in price, the Pixel Buds Pro 2 may have a few upgrades compared to the previous model. The case seems to be slightly larger, indicating a possible increase in battery size. Although information about the earbuds themselves is limited at this time, it is expected that there will be improvements from the original version.
Google One app may simplify Pixel users’ free trials
The original Pixel Buds Pro received praise for their comfortable fit, good sound quality, and effective noise cancellation. Some users, however, had issues with the touch controls. It is yet to be determined if the Pixel Buds Pro 2 will address these concerns and bring forth any new features.
The rise in price could discourage certain potential purchasers, while others might be willing to shell out more for the speculated upgrades. The Pixel Buds Pro 2 will encounter strong competition from various other wireless earbuds available, such as Apple’s AirPods Pro and Samsung’s Galaxy Buds Pro.

Consumers can only wait to see if the Pixel Buds Pro 2 will meet expectations and prove its worth the higher cost. Google’s hardware event on August 13th is anticipated to provide more details on the earbuds’ capabilities. Until then, speculation is all that can be done about what the Pixel Buds Pro 2 will bring, but personally, I am hopeful that it will be a worthwhile upgrade from the original version.
