OnePlus Users Face Dead Motherboards and Bricked Phones

OnePlus’ community forums have been full of scary stories lately, with people talking about faulty motherboards and virtually non-functional phones, including flagship models like the OnePlus 10 Pro and OnePlus 9:

This post from the unofficial OnePlus Club gives us cause for concern:

In 2022, the OnePlus 10 Pro showcased attractive features such as 4K120 and 8K video recording; however, its camera performance and stabilization fell short compared to its rivals.

The phone delivers impressive speed, featuring smooth animations and gestures, while the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 enhances performance, particularly for gaming.

Nevertheless, the user is very dissatisfied with the service provided.

Another unsettling experience comes from user Rahul G21, a dedicated OnePlus enthusiast who has owned at least four OnePlus devices before acquiring the OnePlus 10 Pro. In December 2022, he bought a OnePlus 10 Pro and was initially satisfied with its performance.

However, as time passed, the phone started to lag, although tweaking app settings and managing background activities provided temporary relief. Additionally, the device faced overheating issues, which he managed by improving his app management and charging habits.

Attention all OnePlus users: Have you been facing any problems with your phone? Does it overheat if it is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset?
