The official announcement of the Flip 6 has been made, and Samsung is now introducing a unique Olympic edition of the stunning clamshell foldable. This special version has been designed and tailored specifically for the athletes participating in the upcoming Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris 2024.
This edition is the first to include Galaxy AI, which will enhance athletes’ Games-time experience with a range of exclusive services and useful apps. It is also the first time athletes have access to Samsung’s new product before its official release.
The Z Flip 6 Olympic edition is offered in a vibrant yellow color featuring Olympic rings and Paralympic agitators in gold. Additionally, Samsung collaborated with Berluti, known for designing Team France’s Opening Ceremony outfits, to produce a special Flipsuit Case for every phone. Crafted from Venezia leather, each case boasts a distinctive patina and bold color scheme inspired by the Olympic rings.
For nearly thirty years, Samsung has been at the forefront of advancing mobile technology to support the Olympic and Paralympic Games and their athletes.
Services and Apps
The Flip 6 Olympic Edition includes built-in services and apps designed to enhance the Olympic and Paralympic experience. It comes with a 100GB 5G data eSIM from Orange and athletes can take advantage of two years of Samsung’s worldwide warranty.
Athletes are also provided with various official International Olympic Committee (IOC) apps such as Athlete 365, Olympic Shop, Paris 2024, Transport Accred App, and the IOC hotline.
Samsung Wallet includes a pre-loaded in-app pass for free beverages at vending machines throughout the Olympic and Paralympic Village, in collaboration with The Coca-Cola Company. Additionally, athletes receive unlimited complimentary public transport access cards, in partnership with Île-de-France Mobilités (IDFM).
The Z Flip 6 Olympic Edition will also include a collection of Paris 2024-themed apps for entertainment, such as PinQuest and Galaxy Experience.

In the past, athletes were not allowed to bring their personal items to the podium when receiving a medal. However, this time Samsung will offer the Z Flip 6 Olympic Edition for use on the podium, allowing athletes to take victory selfies and create lasting memories. These selfies will be instantly uploaded to Athlete365, enabling athletes to easily share and preserve their memorable moments with loved ones.
Almost 17,000 athletes participating in the Paris 2024 Olympics will receive a specially designed Galaxy Z Flip 6 smartphone. The distribution of the phones will begin on July 18.
Overall, Samsung’s initiative to support the Olympic and Paralympic games is excellent. I believe the athletes will be thrilled to receive the stylish Z Flip 6 phones, and I can’t help but wish I was competing alongside them. If only I had known 20 years ago…
