Apple unveiled its 2024 iPhones at the Glowtime event, introducing the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and the impressive iPhone 16 Pro Max. What’s new? The most significant change is the increase in screen size for the Pro models, along with the addition of a Tetraprism zoom camera on both. Additionally, the entire series features a new Capture Button. But has this affected the contents of the iPhone 16 box, which is now made from 100% recycled fiber? Has Apple included a case or charger in the box? Unfortunately, the Cupertino team has not deviated from its disappointing tradition of omitting useful accessories that could have been included with the iPhone 16.

Not only does Apple offer inadequate charging speeds that its Chinese competitors justifiably mock, but it also fails to include any of its sluggish 20W USB-C power adapters in the box.
As usual, Apple’s website claims that the iPhone 16 can charge to 50% in 30 minutes, which is disappointingly slow by today’s standards; however, that’s not the entire picture, as a full charge takes several hours. Additionally, the minimalistic packaging lacks a case, leaving only room for the iPhone 16 and a relatively short USB-C cable. Apple initiated this trend, which has since been adopted by many brands, including Samsung, while Chinese manufacturers continue to include a wealth of accessories with their flagship devices.
